This fascinating campsite
is associated with Equatorial Safaris in tourism
aspects and Management. Located at Njari Village,
Uru Division in Kilimanjaro Region-Tanzania. The
Kilimanjaro National Park neighboring the Campsite
making it to be a starting point for the Mountain
Climbers.
Before climb, the team takes acclimatization for
the high-altitudes climates at Njari Campsite. Distance
from Moshi Town is only 10 km and 30 mins drive
from Kilimanjaro International Airport. |
Facilities: Njari Campsite
is composed of six natural huts, self-contained built
in Chagga's traditional style. Dishes availlable in
request and also a bar for soft and hard drinks. The
Kilimanjaro Ecotourism Project Offices are housed at
Njari Campsite.
Campsite Short History: In 1991, several
acres of land bordering with the Kilimanjaro National
Park was given to Mr. Phil Fumeaux the co-founder of
the William Howard School, Cambria, UK by then linked
to Uru Secondary School, Tanzania. Mr. Fumeaux motives
and ambitions were definitely based to benefit the Uru
community and their land. From the same circumstances
the campsite has created employment among the villagers
and been sponsored by Brampton Tanzania Trust Fund .
